Eureka Stamps Challenge #91

It's a brand new week and time for a new challenge at the Eureka Stamps blog.

This week's challenge {#91} is "Masculine or Grungy".  Here's the Father's Day card I created for this challenge:

What better way to "grunge something up" than to use cardboard and ink the heck out of it?  LOL

I also distressed the edges of the patterned paper as well as the edges of the sentiment.  I thought the brown buttons added a little extra touch, too.

I used the "Happy Father's Day" digital image and you can find it in the store right here.  I just love the font on this sentiment!

If you'd like to play along in our "Masculine or Grunge" challenge, you can link your creations right up to the blog.

Go over and take a look at what the rest of the DT created for this week's reveal.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Monday!

Happy Saturday!

Wow, where do I start?

I've been so out of touch lately.  First of all, I've been having major issues with my laptop.  I've only had it for a year next week but I'm convinced electronics are only built to last about a year anymore.  Of course, I bought a 2 years service contract on it at the store ~ which as usual was totally worthless.  It always seems like whatever problem I'm having on a computer "isn't covered".

But I won't bore you with all the details.  I got it fixed and fortunately had my old laptop to keep me going.  I've had it for a long time and about all I could do was try to keep my emails going, which I didn't do a very good job of.  With all of that going on, my mojo went out the window.

I did create these 3 canvases that I promised my daughter I'd make.  They're honestly about all I got done in the last few weeks.  She and her co workers are all reading a book called "The One Thing" and she wanted this particular quote from the book put on canvas.

Here's the canvas I made for my daughter's office.

Here's a close-up of some of the flowers:

This is the canvas I made for her boss.  I honestly didn't get a very good photograph of it.  I finished it VERY late at night and I was exhausted!  As you can see, it's still laying on my work surface.

Here's a close-up of how great all the gears turned out.

I love how the keys look, too.  I also added a jute bow to them.

This one is for another woman in her group.

Here's a picture that shows some of the dimension.  (Again, still laying on the work surface.)

I didn't get very good photos of any of these ~ not my usual photography job.  Like I said, I was pushing what little mojo I had to THE MAX.  Anyway, my daughter loved them and I even got a personal thank you from her boss.  That was very nice and unexpected.

The next canvas I make (that takes this much work) will be for me.  Haha  I really did enjoy the creative process and I know I'd have enjoyed it a LOT more if I hadn't been struggling with my lack of mojo.  Darn that mojo anyway!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a good and safe Memorial Day weekend.

Eureka Stamps Challenge #90

It's time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps.

This week's challenge, #90 is "Birthdays".  Here's the card I created for this week.

I used digi 9008 for this card and you can find it in the Eureka Stamps store right here.  I just love the patterned paper I used.  I also used some decorative ribbon and lace plus fussy cut some matching flowers.

Here's a close-up of the awesome script on the sentiment of this stamp.

If you'd like to play along, just link up over on the blog.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Eureka Stamps Challenge ##88

I've taken a month long break from Eureka Stamps, but I'm back and ready to go.

This week's challenge, #88, is "Mother's Day Flowers".  I used digi stamp 8902 for my card this week.

Here's the card that I created.

I fussy cut my flowers and attached them to the card with pop dots.  I cut out the different sized leaves too and inked the edges then curled them up for added dimension.  I also colored the hearts and flowers on the stamp,.

If you'd like to play along in our Eureka challenge this week, you can link up right over at the blog.  We're also going to be having a DT call.  If you're interested and would like to work with some fantastic digital stamps, hop over to the blog for the details.

Be sure to go over there and see what the rest of the DT created too.

I'll be posting some of my projects from Sketches4All and Turtle Soup later in the week, so stop on by.
